Well Hello There
Yesterday morning was a morning that was full of surprises...literally. I woke up, walked out to the kitchen and grabbed a banana. I was standing around, looking out the window, and waking up. I ate my banana and walked over to the garbage can to throw the banana peel away. I threw the peel in the garbage and looked down and what do I see? TWO MICE stuck on sticky traps. EWWWWW!! I screamed, ran high knees down the hallway, and told Logan he needed to get rid of them ASAP! (I ran high knees because that would protect me from any other mice I may run into!)
Logan disposed of the two mice, and I dug around in the cupboard to find more sticky traps. Looks like I will be going to the store for more traps this week because we only had 4 traps. Didn't I mention one time that if we went through 2 packs of sticky traps the house needs to be torched? Hmm..I think I did say that once upon a time--and fun fact of the day--I finished out the 2nd box yesterday. Hmmm...
Here's what I got to see yesterday morning:

The Grocery Getter (Farm Style)
Today I was up in Aberdeen for classes. I had to help out with the city wide jump rope competition this afternoon and then my plan was to get a few groceries and go home to the farm. I accomplished my plan by getting groceries, and as I was loading the groceries into my car, Logan calls. He says I need to stop at RadioShack to get him a little battery for his scale in the feeder tractor. He tells me he has already called it in and all I have to do is stop and pick it up. Ok. So I drive out to RadioShack, pick up the battery and head home. I get about 1/4 the way home and Logan calls again. He says where are you at? I said well about half way in between Bath and Stratford. All I hear is choice language on the other end of the phone. I ask, well what do you need? Well I needed you to stop at Butler Cat to get a part for the terragator. I said well do you want me to turn around? Or I will be going up to Aberdeen tomorrow so I can get it then. He was still mad that I was 1/4 the way home but he didn't want me to turn around. So I kept going. BUT TOMORROW, I get to stop at Butler Cat and get his special part. Lucky me!!
Farm Girl Tip # 31: If you expect to go to town and get a few groceries and maybe run a few errands, your wrong. You will be going to all of the farm/machine/electronic stores in town. It's called being the grocery getter--farm style!
