I Just Want To Be Warm....

I woke up the other morning and got ready to go to Watertown for the weekend.  When I walked out into the kitchen, I noticed that one of the sticky traps was gone.  I looked around the kitchen to find this behind the garbage can--

I have determined that something needs to be done before we settle into our new house.  I am NOT having these little buggers creep around the house!!

Farm Girl Tip #90: It's time to burn this house down!!! I am soooo sick of little creatures running around my house!

What A Beautiful Day!

A few days ago before it started to rain, we sure had some gorgeous days on the farm!  I, of course, took advantage of the nice days and went for a few walks.  Here are a few pictures of the beautiful days!

This is absolutely why I love South Dakota and country life!!

On another beautiful day, I took a walk with my little Josie.  I was having a bad day, but she sure knows how to cheer me up!!

Farm Girl Tip #89: Anytime there is a nice day, get outside and enjoy the beautiful South Dakota day! Take your puppies along and let them enjoy the day too! :)

The Clemensen House

As some of you know, and maybe some of you don't, we are building!! We made a trip down to Watertown yesterday to do a few things, and we drove into the lot where our house is being built.  Our house has been started and it is a very exciting feeling!! Here is the house in its first stages!

Farm Girl Tip #88: Expect more pictures as the house goes up! This will be a very exciting year for Logan and I as we get a new house and get married!!

Just Hangin'

We are finally finishing up with calving for the year and transitioning to planting!  Josie (our dog) and I went for a walk the other night, and before we came inside the house, we took a walk by the calves and their moms! All the little ones were just hanging out enjoying the nice weather!  They were also interested in Josie!  While we were walking by, the calves started running up to the bunks to see what Josie was doing, and then all of the moms started running after their calves.  I kind of got freaked out because they were all running, so Josie and I quickly got out of there!

Here's one little guy just hanging out and enjoying the day!

Farm Girl Tip #87: Always go out and see the little tykes when you can! They will be big and not so cute before you know it!
