The Coon

This morning I was just getting up out of bed to make some coffee and eat some breakfast.  Logan was already out in the kitchen and he was looking out the window to check on the farm.  He looks out, and while I am still getting up, all I hear is HOLY SH*T! I come running out of the room and ask what? What is going on? He says there's a huge coon sitting outside by the shed--this is as he is scurrying to get his shoes on and get his gun out.  I look out the window and I see nothing.  I ask, Where did you see it at? I'm not seeing anything! He says right out there, by the shed.  I don't think he could have gone under the door into the shed. (Logan is basically scurrying to get all his stuff together to get outside)

I watch from the window as he walks outside.  He walks over one way, then comes back and walks the other way, then walks over to the shed and opens the door.  Nothing.  (I found all of this walking around kind of humorous because there was nothing out there)  But Logan insists that he was out there and doesn't know where he could have walked to in a matter of seconds!! (More like a few minutes if you ask me!!)

Farm Girl Tip # 29: Make sure your gun is always right next to the door so if you see a coon you can get outside in a matter of seconds!
